Spencer, I love that you hate Cougar fans as much as I do. What I hate most is how they talk about how mean, nasty, and unrighteous (since when does righteousness have ANYTHING to do with sports anyway?) Ute fans are. I've sat at games next to BYU fans and they are just as nasty and unrighteous. At least us U fans admit that we are mean and obnoxious. Win or lose, at least we're not hypocrites. Go Utes! Red til I'm dead!

Wow...I knew I could get you going, but a full letter! Funny... Just so you know, I'm not that pissed and bitter and I will be loudly cheering for your Utes on Thursday night...but I will also be cheering even louder for the Cougs come Saturday and again on the 22nd!
(and you're right, I didn't get into BYU...however, I didn't even try)

Dear Anonymous, don't flatter yourself. Had I just had to deal with your comment there would have been no response at all. Unfortunately I had to deal with Y fans all week long in California. They are all as self-righteous, arrogant and obnoxious as you are.
On a lighter note, I too will be cheering for the Y this weekend, however, they shouldn't need any additional support.

I oh man I love it, they are still "anonymous" so awesome.

PS I won't be cheering for the Y ever, but you know that.

Come on now Spencer, you can't really mean this, "They are all as self-righteous, arrogant and obnoxious as you are." I would like to think that you know some BYU fans that aren't that way, wink, wink!
Personally, I feel some Ute fans over react too often with statements from BYU players and fans. The same statements made by other fans/players (see Colt Mccoys statements recently about God helping them) wouldn't bring near the ire of those U of U fans.
On the same note, there are some extremely obnoxious, self righteous BYU fans. Oddly enough, they seem to be those idiotic students that are the minority at the school and most normal BYU students avoid, but then they graduate and feel the need to stay in Utah County. I can't stand them either. But, they are no where near as annoying as fans from THE Ohio State University-hands down the most obnoxious fans I have ever encountered.

Cody, you're right, I overstated my true feelings. Not all BYU fans are as annoying and arrogant as the jackass I was responding too. I would even go so far as to say the majority of them probably aren't. When I wrote that comment I was trying to pay attention in class as well, and didn't fully think through my words. And before I move on to another topic you have brought up, I am fully aware that there are also many U fans that are just as annoying as most BYU fans, we just aren't as arrogant and self-righteous. To sum up my argument, almost all extremely vocal fans, no matter what team, are annoying, but there are none worse than OSU, I agree. Their problem is that they are all vocal, leaving no room for normal fans.
As for the U fans getting riled up over comments mad by BYU players and coaches. First, ANYONE, including U players and coaches, who think that God is going to influence the outcome of a game because you are living your life the way He wants you to is a total and complete moron. When players point into the sky after a touchdown, as long as they are saying, God, thank you for my talent, and not God, thank you for making me score that touchdown, I have no problems. But when they think that God has a hand in sports, I have a big problem. I also have a problem when coaches start comparing their players to the 2000 stripling warriors in press conferences, but that is another topic.
Sorry this is so long, but to wrap it up. Lots of BYU fans = annoying and arrogant (especially jackass anonymous). Lots of U fans = annoying. ALL Ohio State fans = most annoying.

This is too much fun. I agree the OSU fans are the worst. I would also add Duke basketball fans to the list. There is nothing worse than a Cameron Crazy who is still talking about college basketball in July. And adding to the Cougar bashing, do you remember the kids in high school who would paint their faces and dress up like idiots and lead the crowd in cheers instead of leaving it to the cheerleaders? They all graduated and now go to BYU. And I love how all the guys look like their still missionaries ready to go knock on some doors after the game. I think all my hatred comes from making the mistake of going to BYU for three semesters at the start of my college education. Cody knows what I'm talking about.

Anonymous is a freaking idiot. I am not afraid to say I am a BYU fan and that I hope BYU beats Utah in two weeks. I had to leave a message so you knew that was not me by the way. I definately think Utah got lucky last week but it is better for them to be undefeated up until we beat the Utes so yes I to have been cheering for the wins on both teams. Good luck November 22nd. I hope I can then talk some trash back at you. Oh and I loved the Obama blog. I too feel that it was a lose/lose situation this time running. Hopefully we can muster up better canidates next election.
